Work Session 1 Preview
Healing isn’t passive. It’s intentional. It’s a decision. It’s a moment when a man looks at his life, his story, and his scars and says, “I’m ready to do the work.”
That’s what the T.A.P. IN work sessions are created for. It's one thing to read the devotionals and provoke thought that allows you to challenge yourself to accept a different perspective. So here is your invitation to be open to looking at yourself and your father differently. Let's dive in!

WEEK 1: The Invitation — “It’s Time to T.A.P. IN”
Every journey begins with a call. Not the loud, dramatic kind, but a quiet tug in the soul. Week 1 of the TAP IN Curriculum is that moment—the invitation to step toward healing, wholeness, and transformation.
Breaking the Silence & Choosing Healing
For many men, silence becomes a survival tactic. But silence also becomes a prison.
This first session helps you break that pattern.
Anchored in Psalm 34:18—“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”—The Work Book opens a safe space for you to finally acknowledge the parts of your life calling out for healing.
The Wound
Let's identify an areas in your life that still hurts—old stories, father wounds, moments you pushed down just to keep moving. Your healing starts with honesty. Use a journal or audio recording device to talk through the story, the hurt, and lingering pain.
The Accountability
Let's share one pain point you’ve carried in silence. Find a friend, therapist, or trusted individual to talk to or confide in about your story and pain. Not to expose you, but to free you. To remind you that healing never happens alone.
Purpose
You’ll begin to understand that healing is not a side journey—it is the journey.
Wholeness isn’t a destination; it’s who you become when you choose to confront what has shaped you. Your experiences, your achievements, your hurts, and your challenges. All of which are apart of your becoming.
Work Session 1
This week invites you to write your “Why I’m Here” statement—your personal declaration of intention.
This becomes your anchor for the weeks ahead. Ask yourself questions that include what you hope to get out of this experience as you do the work needed to obtain wholeness. However, I must tell you to not put unrealistic expectations on this experience. This experience will challenge your perception, but the journey does not stop at the conclusion of these work sessions. It is ever evolving. A working story with new chapters and adventures being developed everyday. How you measure your success is simply being aware of how you show up.
Comment and Share
I invite you to share one thing about your experience within this preview.
Why? Because brotherhood is built in moments—small, consistent acts that say, “You’re not alone.” I want men to get use to sharing and being vulnerable. Whether anonymous or not, you have at least taken the first step in allowing others in.
This is Just the Beginning
Week 1 sets the tone for a journey filled with spiritual grounding, emotional honesty, accountability, and brotherhood. The Work Book is not just a devotional—it’s a roadmap for transformation.
If you’re ready to step into healing…
If you’re ready to break cycles instead of repeat them…
If you’re ready to walk in your purpose with clarity, strength, and support…
Then it’s time to T.A.P. IN.
